Dan has been practicing law in Peel Region since his admission to the Law Society of Upper Canada following his graduation from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 1991.
In the past two decades, Dan has focused his practice on family law. He has demonstrated his commitment by providing effective counsel and sound advice for thousands of clients over a range of issues including custody, access, child and spousal support and the division of family assets. His primary goal is to reach a fair result in a cost efficient way.
Everybody looks at things through their own lens as what they deem appropriate or fair and it can be difficult. A big part of my job is to manage a client’s expectations and to make sure that they understand what they’re entitled to.
Dan takes pride in his ability to negotiate favourable settlements where possible and to argue a case effectively in court when necessary. He knows that some cases require a low-key collaborative negotiator, while others require an aggressive litigator.
His skill and experience allow him to recognize how best to resolve a case.
Dan has been married since 1996 and has two children. He is active in coaching his children in baseball and hockey.
